Medical Emergency Readiness for Childcare Centers

PreparedCare Co. helps licensed childcare centers and preschools in California build the medical emergency systems, staff readiness, and protocols that support their response to a medical emergency.

Medical emergency preparedness is a system, not a binder on a shelf

Most childcare centers and preschools have emergency documentation. Very few have systems their staff can actually execute under pressure. There is a meaningful difference between the two. PreparedCare Co. was started by an emergency medicine physician who also happens to be a mother, and knows exactly what execution looks like when a child's life depends on it.

Our work is operational, not theoretical. We review your existing materials, identify what is missing or outdated, and deliver clear guidance and materials that your team can act on immediately.

How we work with you

Each childcare medical emergency preparedness engagement is scoped to your facility's current readiness level and operational needs.

Medical Emergency Readiness Audit
A structured review of your current medical emergency protocols, documentation, staff knowledge, and physical environment. Delivered as a written assessment with prioritized findings.
Implementation Support
Once your audit is complete, we can take the recommendations further. Implementation Support is an add-on engagement where we work alongside your team to build, revise, and install the protocols and systems identified in your report.
Staff Readiness Observation
A structured observation of your staff responding to a realistic emergency scenario, exactly as they would on any regular day. We stay quietly on the sidelines and take careful notes, so what we see reflects your team's true readiness. You'll get a written report, then a director debrief where we walk through what we found together.
Annual Readiness Partnership
A yearly support structure. Includes quarterly drill scenarios given to directors to run at staff meetings, a six-month check-in and protocol review, and one Staff Readiness Observation annually at your facility with your full team.

A Simple Path to Readiness

From first conversation to final report, we meet your facility where it is and build a clear plan your team can act on immediately.

Step 01
Initial Consultation
A 30-minute call to understand your facility size, staff structure, and current readiness baseline. No commitment required.
Step 02
Document Review
You share your existing protocols, policies, and staff certification records. We review everything before we walk in the door — or before a virtual session begins.
Step 03
On-Site or Virtual Evaluation
Structured assessment of protocols, physical environment, staff knowledge, and emergency equipment. Completed in a single visit or virtual session.
Step 04
Report & Implementation
Written findings and recommendations delivered promptly after your evaluation. For package clients, implementation support continues through the agreed scope.

Your facility prepared. Your staff confident. Your systems ready.
